A Proposal @ Blagden Alley

Just before sunset...

Tiwian & Deirdre were on their way for drinks with some friends in DC. Tiwian and I had planned for himself and Deirdre to take a detour through Blagden alley, where he would propose at the LOVE mural. Shortly after parking, the subject of engagement photos came up and Deirdre made the offhand comment that she didn't really think the "LOVE" mural that made this alleyway so iconic was her favorite. Tiwian frantically texted this to me right after they parked and I sent him a quick snapshot of the Chinese lanterns on the other side of the alley. It was a quick move that turned out for the best, as we all agreed after the proposal that this was the best spot for their moment. We ended up going walking across to the LOVE mural afterwards for some portraits anyways where I worked to convince Deirdre that there was something special about it after all. The pictures speak for themselves. Thanks to some quick thinking and this couples' inherent style, this session turned into one of my favorites.
