HINT: IT'S NOT THE SAME AS A PHOTOBOOTH
Express Portrait Booth captures real expressions and connection between people on joyous occasions and deliver quality portrait photos to commemorate an important day. We are an alternative to a typical photobooth you see at weddings and events. Instead of a booth attendant, our on-site portrait booth photographer will direct everyone into the frame, guide poses, and capture candid moments. We spend time curating the best images and do light retouches to make sure everyone is looking their best (accidental spills? gone!). The result is a gallery of quality images to commemorate the celebration - ready to be downloaded, shared, and printed.

We love portrait photography but recognize that not everyone has the time, opportunity, or resources to get updated portraits of themselves with their loved ones. That's where Express Portrait Booth comes in. Your wedding guests are already dressed up, smiling from the beautiful ceremony, and hanging out with family and friends who they may not see too often - it's the perfect opportunity to get a few portraits taken as a keepsake from the wedding.
About the photographers
Express Portrait Booth is a new offering from DC wedding photographer Stefan and life+photography partner Diana. Stefan steers the artistic direction and vision of the booth and Diana will typically be the on-site booth photographer while Stefan is capturing wedding moments.
While we would like to be working at the same wedding with between wedding photography and Express Portrait Booth, we do offer packages for EPB-only service.
About our backdrops
Currently we work with an 10x10 abstract charcoal backdrop for the Express Portrait Booth. The purpose of the backdrop is to provide a textured surface to help make you pop. We would love to work with you on custom backdrops for your vision.
dECISION ON PROPS
As we are not your typical photobooth, we have made the intentional decision to not include props for the portrait booth. Because we want the focus to be on who you are with each other, we felt props would only take the attention away from your essence.
About the Booth on the wedding day
The Express Portrait Booth can be operated during cocktail hours and reception if both events occur at the same location. The minimum space required to set up the portrait booth is 12x12 but better if we can get 15x15.
The booth will be paused during speeches and first dances and typically opens at the same time when the dance floor is opened to everyone until the last dance.
