Ahoy! I'm Stefan Agregado
My photography journey began when I was 16 and I got my first camera. I began with the intent to create my own image board of people I loved and cared for and the places I've been. 19 years later, I have the incredible honor of helping others create their own little sanctuaries that foster their identities.
As a photography & photojournalism major at Cal State Long Beach I learned every important technical skill a photographer needs to know. As a photojournalist ('10-12) I learned how to be flexible, creative, and to think on the fly so as never to miss a moment. As a world traveler ('13-15') I learned to find the human connection within each person. I founded Stefan A. Photography in 2016 with the goal of capturing people on the happiest days of their lives. I moved to DC in late 2019 and am proud to call myself a Washingtonian.

2011-2012
Here I am winning some awards for my work in photojournalism at my college campus newspaper.
I remember at the time thinking I wanted to be a photojournalist but not quite knowing if that lifestyle suited me. I decided to test the waters shortly after and joined the Peace Corps to see if I had what it took.
2013-2015
Here I am in the coastal town of Safi, Morocco with my with my English students at the end of a 2-year journey. They are some of the most optimistic, welcoming, and intelligent people I've ever had the pleasure of meeting.
Looking back, this time in life opened a new door for me and my work as a humanitarian or at least someone who helps others. I didn't do a ton of photography while I was out here, but I what I did capture holds a special place in my heart.
2016 - 2018
I came back to the states hungry to get back in the game. I moved back to LA and started "Stefan A. Photography", shooting every assignment I could get my hands on using a hodgepodge of photo assignment apps and my network of friends and family. I shot a lot of headshots (so LA), events, and my first couple of weddings.
After LA I moved to the Bay Area where I continued meeting new clients via apps and through friends to shoot events, engagements, and weddings.
2019-Present
Here I am finally moving to DC to be with my wife, Diana, after a few years of working through a long distance relationship. She's my secret weapon, the mastermind who's helped me plan and execute all of my wildest dreams. It was here I really started focusing on capturing other people's love stories and planting my feet firmly on the ground.
