Where to have your engagment photoshoot
When it comes to engagement photos, one of the first question I help my clients answer as a DC engagement photographer is where to have the photos taken. DC offers many locations for a memorable engagement session, including iconic monument spots like Jefferson Memorial and Lincoln Memorial. However, there are other fun places to consider, especially if you'd like to infuse a bit more of the vibrant city to your engagement photographs.
Recently I had the opportunity to photograph A & C at Blagden Alley and City Center and loved how the photos turned out and captured the romance between the two. For these two soulmates, I think both locations provided ample fun backdrop to highlight the couple's love and dynamic personality.
The LOVE Mural
A favorite mural for many, The LOVE Mural by Lisa Marie Studio, celebrates love for all. The colorful rainbow backdrop emits so much positive energy and makes any image pop with excitement. We had a great time here trying couples poses with A & C and sharing many laughter.
City Center
A 12 minute walk south of Blagden Alley is the vibrant and bustling City Center with its modern architecture, upscale shopping, and fine dining establishments. Every quarter, City Center decorates its alleyway with seasonal art installations. At the start of September, we were welcomed with foliage leaves in anticipation for fall. I love how the modern design of city center complements the couple's elegant outfits. We ended the session with some gelato at Dolcezza.
